Clinic Policies Regarding COVID19

Governor Kate Brown announced on April 23rd that medical clinics, which include acupuncture clinics, can resume care starting May 1st.  Dynamic Acupuncture will be doing a slow reopening starting on Wednesday May 6th. I know there are many patients who are in active pain and have had a hard time putting off treatment during the last six weeks. We look forward to being able to provide care for our patients again while also providing you a safe and protected experience when you come to Dynamic Acupuncture.

You can now schedule online for up to two weeks in advance for an in-person visit. If you do not feel safe leaving your home, we recommend you wait to schedule an in-person appointment. Telehealth visits will continue to be available for those wanting care and wishing to avoid an in-person visit. Many insurance companies are now covering telehealth visits and this is a wonderful time to add Chinese Herbal Medicine to your healthcare routine!

This reopening is seen as a trial roll out and will be reevaluated on a biweekly basis. We will continue to closely monitor the recommendations from Governor Kate Brown and the Oregon Health Authority and will modify clinic policies as needed.

Dynamic Acupuncture is following the Oregon Health Authority guidelines by:

  • Decreasing caseload volume during this trial period to minimize the number of people in the clinic at any given time and maximize social distancing.

  • Utilizing CDC recommended PPE, which includes wearing a face mask at all times.

  • Encouraging patients to wait to schedule their in-person appointment if they are in high-risk groups “such as those over age 60 and those with compromised immune systems or lung and heart function”.

  • Disinfecting high touch surfaces and treatment rooms between each patient.

  • Screening patients for potential COVID-19 exposure or symptoms prior to treatment, which may include the use of a no-touch thermometer.

In order to ensure safety:

  • Patients are asked to not come into the clinic if they are feeling unwell, have a fever or cough, sore throat or body aches. Please contact your provider to convert your appointment to a telehealth consultation.

  • Patients are asked to wait to schedule their appointment if in the last 14 days they have been in close contact with a person who is suspected to have COVID-19 while that person was ill, or been in close contact with a person who has a confirmed case of COVID-19.

In preparation for your Acupuncture visit:

  • We are requesting that all patients coming into the clinic wear a face mask as a precaution for both themselves and the health of their provider and other patients. This could be a bandana or a scarf. The purpose of the mask is to prevent droplet exchange from anyone you are close to, as well as to remind you to not touch your face.

  • Please no not arrive early to your appointment. My hope is to take you straight into the treatment room and avoid patients waiting in the lobby. If you prefer, you can wait in your car and I can call you when the room is ready for you. Please request this option ahead of time. There will be no water in the lobby.

  • I will be checking out all patients in their treatment room.

  • Both patient and practitioner will wear a face mask during the intake and there will be only essential talking during needling, pulse taking, and palpations.

  • We are requesting that if you are feeling unwell, even if your symptoms are mild, to contact your provider to convert your appointment to a telehealth visit.

  • Please wear loose comfortable clothing to your appointment

We look forward to seeing you again and being able to provide you with healthcare during this challenging time.

Please reach out if you have any questions or if you need help finding an appointment time by emailing taragregoryacupuncture@gmail.com or calling 503-479-5506.

Dynamic Acupuncture

New Year New Location!

After five wonderful years of practicing at Jade Acupuncture I will be moving my practice to NE Alberta Street starting Saturday, January 4th, 2020. This is a big transition and I am excited for the opportunity that this move presents to me professionally!

I have always dreamed of being a clinic owner and having the opportunity to establish my own vision. Now I have a wonderful opportunity to take over a clinic and in such a great location! I am transitioning to clinic ownership over the course of 2020, and I will also be rebranding the space and the clinic. This is a very exciting professional step for me and I look forward to running a clinic in addition to my acupuncture practice. Currently the clinic is called Alberta Street Acupuncture Clinic and I will be rebranding the clinic to Dynamic Acupuncture in 2020.

I look forward to continuing to work with you in my new clinic space! My new NE Alberta Street location is only a quick 10-15 minute drive from NW Portland.

Information about my new location starting Saturday January 4th, 2020.

Alberta Street Acupuncture Clinic

1829 NE Alberta Street, Suite A

Portland, OR 97211

The entrance to this clinic is right off of NE Alberta Street and directly across the street from Petit Provence. There is neighborhood parking surrounding the clinic which does not require a  parking permit or timed spots for parking.

My current work schedule will remain unchanged at the new location

  • Tuesdays 10 - 2:30

  • Wednesdays 10 - 2:30

  • Saturdays 10 - 2:30

There will be no change to insurance and associated fees. I will still be in-network with the same insurance companies.

Scheduling Changes

I will no longer have office staff at my new location, so there are multiple ways to schedule with me.

  • Online- I will continue to offer online scheduling via Schedulicity under the business name of Dynamic Acupuncture- as always if you don’t see a spot please contact me directly because I might be able to get you in sooner than is showing online.

  • Phone- you can call or text me directly at 503-479-5506 to schedule

  • Email- you can email me at taragregoryacupuncture@gmail.com to schedule

  • In person after your appointment - Always a great option!

I will continue to practice at Jade Acupuncture until 12/23/2019 when the clinic will close for the holidays and then reopen in my new location on 1/4/2020 at 1829 NE Alberta Street, Suite A.

I thank you all for letting me be a part of your health care team over the last several years and I look forward to continuing to work with you in my new location!
